Black Ice is the first slot from Realistic featuring 3D visuals. You might not notice this at first, but the game’s reels are actually set in a three dimensional icy cave, with the camera slowly rotates towards the left and right. This further enhances the feeling of depth in this space. It’s a subtle effect, but is quite striking once you actually notice it. You can also switch it off and have the camera focus straight on the reels if it bothers you in any way, which is quite nice of Realistic.
The game itself plays on invisible reels, with the gem symbols floating in the ice cave. These symbols are fairly basic, and come in yellow, orange, green, purple, blue, and red. Black Ice Final Thoughts
While Black Ice initially strikes the eye with its attractive 3D visuals, a few spins will soon reveal it for what it truly is - a fairly average video slot with a shiny gem theme. The low volatility does mean that wins come fairly often, and the wild free spin feature is fun enough, but the low maximum win and lower than average RTP mean little to no excitement will be had as you play. Even the visuals got tiresome after a while, and we just switched the camera movement off to better focus on the reels. As such, there are far better games based around both shiny stones and the cold stuff out there. Avoid a slip and give this one a miss.
